A historical fiction review page, analysing both the facts and the fiction.

Or a history graduate’s attempt to justify┬áreading books as a productive enterprise.

If three years studying History at the University of Birmingham has taught me anything, it’s that historical fiction books now have a tendency to appear rather frequently on my bookshelves. So, I thought I might as well make a blog about my experiences with said novels. As a geeky History grad bonus extra I thought I’d also hazard a go at evaluating their historical viability (because, you know… might as well make that student debt worth it). This page requires three key ingredients. Books. History. An insatiable pedantic nature. I’d say I’m pretty well equipped for this.
